The SB House is the result of a perfect equation between its surroundings and those who inhabit it: the imposing presence of the river defines the views, while the vibrant personality of the family shapes each interior space. Far from generic solutions, the project emerges as a bespoke architectural response — a nautical house with its own dock and direct access to the river.

From the moment of arrival, the house reveals that every detail carries intention. A scale model of a boat welcomes visitors in the entrance hall, clearly expressing one of the owners’ passions.

The double-height entrance unfolds into a generous open-plan space where the living area, dining room, and kitchen coexist. Here, spatial hierarchy is defined by a striking classical French-style staircase, conceived as a central sculptural element that contrasts with the contemporary character of the environment.

To support this social lifestyle, a careful interplay of materials and forms was developed: the public areas convey solidity, while the service volumes are clad in wood to introduce warmth. This entire level opens toward the rear façade, where a spacious gallery functions as an outdoor living room, seamlessly integrating with the swimming pool, solarium, and dock, blurring the boundaries between architecture and landscape.

Ascending to the upper level, the program gains privacy and character. Four en-suite bedrooms are located here, strategically oriented to capture the river’s most privileged views. The identity of each inhabitant informs the design of the private spaces: the child’s bedroom incorporates custom display cases for a car collection, while the girl’s room features a canvas-like wall conceived for artistic expression. This level also includes the master suite and a fully soundproofed music room, designed for composing and rehearsing while preserving the tranquility of both the house and its surroundings.

Crowning the residence, the attic is maximized to accommodate a fully equipped gym, responding to the family’s active lifestyle without sacrificing space on the main floors. This level is completed by a playroom conceived as a social gathering space where music takes center stage, integrating the family’s hobbies into the architecture of the home.
