TAMPA House

The project's focus is on the identity of each constituent element of the residence. From the individuality of forms and functions, a harmony of the whole was sought, resulting in a richness in its façade, both formally and materially. A large white volume asserts itself as the house’s primary envelope. On the ground floor are the social and service spaces, while the bedrooms are placed on the upper floor. The hierarchy of the master suite is marked by a change in materiality, presenting itself as a wooden volume on the main façade. Wood reappears, lending distinction to the large openings. Moreover, in the design it was sought that the structure be identified by its own form and materiality through reinforced concrete panels, which create, on the sides, a skin layered over the main volume. The sunshades, conceived as vertical slats, can be found on both the front and rear façades, reinforcing the project’s vertical lines and strengthening the idea of possessing its own distinctive signature.
